Twenty percent has a name on it
The Supporter plan is $5 a month. Twenty percent of that, and twenty percent of anything spent in the shop, is for the shelter you picked on the way in. The free plan still opens every game.
Worth knowing
Half of these live in the game. Half of them are true of real dogs and cats. The filter keeps them apart.
Nothing on this shelf.

The lobby holds Fetch, Run, Pride Tower, A Cat About Town, and Treat Match. Dogs have three of the doors. Cats have the tower and the town.
From the village
A dog player never sees a window hammock. A cat player never sees a tennis-ball launcher. The whole shelf is rewritten when you say which animal you came for.
From the village
Treat Match collects 36 stickers across six pages: candies, striped, wrapped, fish, blockers, and the town. Complete the Town page and the reward is a Rescue. The trophy shelf stays a separate ledger.
From the village
Treat Match does not jump colours. It eases from one chapter sky into the next. These are the anchors the campaign is painted from.
Purple night
Ocean teal
Dusk plum
Warm ember
Golden dawn

From the village
Fetch gives you a clock. Run gives you distance and no finish line. A Cat About Town gives you neither a score nor a clock — the errands are the whole game.
From the village
The five backgrounds are full paintings. On a wide window they are cropped, not stretched, so the shelter and the little red roof do not turn into ovals.
From the village
The dog shelf sells a Birthday Pupcake with one candle and no chocolate. Next to it: Salmon Skin Crunchies, which the shop describes as smelling appalling and working every time.
From the yard
A dog's nose print is unique, in the same way a human fingerprint is. The damp surface helps dissolve scent chemicals so they can be smelled.
From the yard
A dog's nose carries on the order of 300 million olfactory receptors. A person's nose has about 6 million. That gap is why a walk is a newspaper.
From the yard
Human hearing usually fades out near 20 kHz. Dogs keep going well past that, into the range of about 45 kHz and, for some, higher.
From the yard
Dogs cool off mainly by panting. The sweat glands they do have sit in their paw pads, which is why excited paws can leave damp prints.
From the yard
Cocoa contains theobromine, which dogs metabolize slowly. That is the reason the village birthday cake is carob, with the chocolate left out on purpose.
From the yard
House cats commonly sleep 12 to 16 hours out of 24, usually in short bouts rather than one long night. The village would call that a full schedule.
From the yard
A domestic cat's purr typically sits between about 25 and 150 Hz. They can purr while breathing in and breathing out.
From the yard
Cats have a nictitating membrane, a third eyelid that sweeps the eye. A group of cats is a clowder. A group of kittens is a kindle. Whiskers usually span about the width of the body, which is how a cat judges a gap.
